Experts confer on national HIV/AIDS prevention and control efforts in Laos

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Health experts met in Vientiane on Thursday to discuss developments in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections (STI) around the country.

Minister of Health, Associate Prof. Dr Bounkong Syhavong, told the ‘National Committee for the Control of AIDS Annual Meeting 2019’ it was a good opportunity to report on the progress of activities and shared plans, including evaluating the Building Capacity for the Prevention of HIV/AIDS/STI programme supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
